Job Description
Overview

About the role: London South East Colleges is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and flexible lecturer to teach on ESOL courses from pre-entry to Level 1. You should have a strong background in teaching ESOL to adults as well as unaccompanied asylum seekers and/or refugees aged 16 to 18, and understand current and future curriculum developments in this area. The successful candidate will provide an excellent learning experience so that every learner gains the appropriate skills.

Responsibilities

Teach a range of ESOL courses from pre-entry to Level 1. Deliver engaging lessons that support adult learners, including unaccompanied asylum seekers and/or refugees. Contribute to curriculum development and ensure learners develop required skills. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication and motivational skills; maintain good organisation and IT literacy; manage administration effectively.

Qualifications

Minimum of CELTA and/or a full teaching qualification with a relevant degree or higher qualification. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire learners. Strong organisational skills and IT/com administration capability.
