Commercial Van Technician Required in Petersfield for Family-Run Fleet Workshop

Are you an experienced Commercial Van Technician seeking a new challenge within a reputable family-run fleet workshop? Our client, a well-established company based in Petersfield, is looking to recruit a Skilled Commercial Van Technician to join their busy and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in van repairs to develop their career in a dynamic workshop environment.

Benefits:
  • Competitive annual salary between £38,000 and £42,000, dependent on experience
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:30pm, with a half-hour lunch break

Duties:
  • Servicing and repairing transit-style vans up to 7.5 tonnes for a fleet of commercial vehicles
  • Undertaking routine maintenance tasks such as brakes, suspension, and general servicing
  • Performing more complex repairs, including engine out and head-off work
  • Focusing on first-time fixes to ensure efficiency and quality
  • Utilising specialist diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
  • Maintaining high standards of safety and workmanship throughout all repairs and servicing
  • Working closely with the team to ensure timely completion of repairs and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Proven commercial vehicle experience, with a strong knowledge of van repairs
  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (preferred, but not essential)
  • Practical experience working on vans or similar commercial vehicles
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and deliver quality workmanship
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A proactive attitude and commitment to workshop standards
  • MOT certification is not required but prior experience on commercial vehicles is essential
