Van Driver & Warehouse Operative - Colchester
£12.21 per hour Weekly Pay Temporary Position Full-Time Immediate Start Available

We are currently seeking a committed and hard-working Van Driver & Warehouse Operative to join our client's fast-paced distribution team based in Colchester. This is a temporary position offering full-time hours and consistent weekly pay, with full training provided.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys being on the road but is also comfortable working in a warehouse environment. You'll play a key role in both the delivery and dispatch operations, ensuring that goods are picked, packed, loaded, and delivered on time and in excellent condition.

Key Details:
Location: Colchester
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (paid weekly, every Friday)
Job Type: Full-time, Temporary
Start Date: Immediate starts available

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday: 08:30 - 17:30
Every other Saturday: 08:00 - 12:00
Between 40-44 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Driving Duties:
    1. Delivering automotive parts (including brake pads, brake discs, batteries, nuts, bolts, and similar items) to customers and trade clients around the Colchester area
    2. Planning and completing daily delivery routes in a timely and efficient manner
    3. Providing excellent customer service at the point of delivery
    4. Conducting vehicle checks and ensuring your van is clean, safe, and roadworthy
  2. Warehouse Duties:
    1. Picking and packing customer orders using handheld scanners
    2. Labelling and preparing stock for dispatch
    3. Loading your own van with accuracy and care
    4. General housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe working environment

What We're Looking For:

  • A full UK driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points
  • Previous experience in a driving and/or warehouse role is desirable
  • Good level of physical fitness - some heavy lifting may be required
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A positive, can-do attitude and excellent timekeeping
