UX Designer

Edinburgh (Remote)

Up to £500 p/d (Inside IR35)

8 week contract

We're looking for a UX Designer to deliver user research insights and design solutions across a range of external-facing digital projects, working within an Agile team to solve user problems and enhance overall experience.

Recent work includes:

• New Google Maps-based functionality
• Launch of a Business Support Hub
• Improvements to site search
• Introduction of favouriting features
• Ongoing Design System rollout

What you'll do:

• Conduct UX research and translate insights into actionable design solutions
• Produce sketches, prototypes, wireframes and user journeys
• Collaborate with designers, developers and wider technical teams
• Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Use qualitative and quantitative tools to evaluate product performance
• Ensure accessibility compliance (WCAG) and Design System alignment

What you'll bring:

• Degree or equivalent experience in UX Design
• Strong understanding of UX methods: prototyping, testing, journey mapping, user research
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Self-starter mindset, able to work independently
• Knowledge of Agile, Jira, Figma and Design Systems
• Understanding of HTML/CSS (desirable)
