Job Description

To fully support the administrative services of the Urology Investigation Suite, the role provides administrative, reception and clerical services. Responsibilities include taking and answering phone calls from patients, carers and healthcare professionals, booking out patient appointments, covering reception duties as required, and general administrative and clerical duties.

The post requires the applicant to ideally work Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Some flexibility in the working days pattern may be required to meet service demands, e.g. covering annual leave, with arrangements made in advance and by agreement.

Responsibilities
  • Take telephone calls and respond to patient enquiries.
  • Make and amend out patient appointments.
  • Provide reception cover when the reception team is on leave or unavailable.
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties.
Qualifications
  • Good basic education.
  • Literacy and numeric skills.
Experience
  • Awareness of confidentiality issues.
  • Experience within the NHS.
  • Previous experience with PAS system.
Skills
  • Strong admin and clerical skills.
  • Investigatory and problem solving skills.
