Your MissionAs an OEM of critical power products, the position will work within critical power environments for large organisations, across a wide customer base. You will demonstrate excellent communication and ownership of assigned tasks. Duties include commissioning and start up of new equipment, maintenance, service and repair of UPS solutions.
Product training will be provided in our academy and access to internal software and applications. You will utilise technical literature, including schematic diagrams, service and maintenance manuals and installation guidelines to complete works to a high standard, following processes within a team environment covering emergency call outs.
The main departments you will work with are Service coordination, Technical support, Project management and account teams. You will manage onsite activities and supervise installation contractors to ensure best practice.
This position is responsible for providing professional services for Schneider Electric customers and technical support/training for service partners, including technical site analysis to resolve customer issues and performing field service duties across Schneider Electric's complete range of electrical distribution products and solutions.
Proactively identify and communicate onsite opportunities for additional services, upgrades, or solutions that enhance customer operations and align with Schneider Electric offerings.
Test and measurement equipment, knowledge of electrical and electronic codes, and in depth knowledge of electrical principles is required. A high level of customer service skills and the ability to troubleshoot are required.
Your daily tasks and responsibilities- Perform start up/commissioning, preventive maintenance and corrective/unscheduled maintenance on all Schneider Electric Secure Power UPS equipment.
- Participate and lead proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Perform consulting services at customer sites as well as over the phone.
- Work with customers, contractors, service partners, team members, sales partners, technical support and managers to resolve escalated problems.
- Document all required information for each site visit performed.
- Manage installation projects and unit replacement when necessary.
- Properly document, label and return defective parts used in repair of Schneider Electric equipment to the designated disposal/repair location.
- Educate customers on basic operation of their equipment and inform them of potential issues in a way beneficial to both the customer and Schneider Electric.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, procedures and cybersecurity.
- Provide 7 24 field service availability when assigned.
- 2-5 years' experience within the UPS industry or similar.
- Professional technical bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
- Knowledge of electricity/electronics.
- Safety mindset.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and computer literacy.
- Good understanding of Schneider Electric.
