Unscheduled Care Lead - HMP Wormwood Scrubs, London. Category B prison. Health in Justice team delivering high standards of healthcare within a secure environment.

Provide the highest standards of healthcare to patients in unscheduled care without compromising on efficiency and quality.

Hours

You will be working 4 days per week, including:

  • Line management duties on Monday and Friday - 07:30 to 17:30
  • x2 clinical shifts between Tuesday to Thursday - 07:30 to 18:15

Clinical shifts are set on a 4-week rolling rota.

Salary

This position is full time. You'll receive an annual salary up to £63,119 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As an Unscheduled Care Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Provide leadership and line management for the unscheduled care team
  • Deliver outstanding evidence-based care by seeking feedback and putting patient engagement at the centre of service delivery
  • Ensure day-to-day operational service delivery and data integrity to meet commissioner expectations
  • Deliver non-judgemental, compassionate care that is safe, high quality and compliant with CQC requirements
  • Promote best practice in unscheduled care, triage and emergency response

Requirements
  • Registered General Adult Nurse or Paramedic (NMC or HCPC)
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Experience working in CQC or equivalent registered services (e.g., HMIP)
  • Experience in client management or meeting commissioner expectations
  • Experience developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Understanding of clinical governance
