UCD Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1

Applications are invited for a temporary post within UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. The Centre of Micro/Nano Manufacturing Technology (MNMT-Dublin, ) was established at the University College Dublin (UCD) to deliver high-impact, innovative science and engineering research focusing on innovative medical devices enabled by high-precision manufacturing and metrology technologies.

The Centre brings together a multidisciplinary team of over 20 PhD and postdoctoral researchers in micro/nano manufacturing, precision metrology, medical devices, optics, and materials science - both fundamental and translational research.

• Fixed Salary: €47,273 per annum.
• Appointment: Range dependent on qualifications and experience.
• Closing date: 12:00 noon (local Irish time) on 07/08/2026.
• Eligibility: Intended for early-stage researchers, either just after completing a PhD or entering a new area for the first time. Applicants with prior PD1 stage in UCD or who will soon complete a PD1, or external applicants with total postdoctoral experience exceeding 4 years, should not apply and refer to PD2 posts.
