Role Purpose:

Blackrock Clinic is currently recruiting an enthusiastic part time typist to join our Histopathology team. Our Histopathology Laboratory offers a diverse repertoire of services across routine histopathology, cytopathology, special staining, immunohistochemistry testing, molecular testing and multidisciplinary team meetings for management of cancer patient treatment

Qualifications/Experience:

• Computer skills, extensive knowledge of packages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Good knowledge of all pathology scientific language is an advantage, ie: Histopathology.
• Accurate typing with good speed
• Ability to work and meet deadlines

Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work as part of a team responsible for the typing of dictated histopathology patient reports.

• Typing of Histology report
• Preparing slides and other appropriate material for MDM's
• To ensure the provision of safe, effective and efficient laboratory services.
• Personally, and professionally, you are accountable to the patient. You are personally accountable for your own actions at all times.
