Typesetter - London - £Competitive Salary

Are you passionate about typography, detail-oriented, and skilled in layout design? Our client, a well-established printing company known for delivering high-quality print materials, is looking for a meticulous Typesetter to join their production team. This company's 24/7 typesetting services enable alterations and amendments to be made promptly prior to final printing and distribution. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the print process, where your expertise will directly impact the final product.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in QuarkXPress and Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• Experience with blacklining and redline correction processes
• Proven experience in corporate typesetting
• Ability to work independently during overnight hours, meeting tight turnaround times
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail under pressure
• Shift patterns: 20:00 - 06:00 Mon - Thurs (4 nights per week)
• Applicant must be resident in the UK and have recent experience in the print, packaging or paper sectors

Key Responsibilities

• Typeset and format high quality corporate documents using QuarkXPress
• Incorporate corrections using blacklining
• Work within established corporate style guides to ensure consistency and accuracy
• Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Manage and prioritize multiple document production tasks in a fast-paced environment
