We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable and self-motivated Site and Safety Manager to join our team. This is a crucial role in school, as the post holder will provide efficient and effective caretaking support, key-holding responsibilities and will co-ordinate the implementation of schools' Health and Safety policies. We are looking for someone who will love the school as much as we do, taking a real pride in the appearance of our building and extensive grounds. The successful candidate will work closely with Senior Leaders who strategically oversee Health and Safety around school.
Main duties include:
- Security of the site
- Building maintenance
- Porterage
- Liaising with contractors
- Stock control and replenishment
- Carrying out some statutory testing duties
- Cleaning our Hall and Dining Room
The successful candidate will:
- Have high standards and take a pride in their work, ensuring that the site is maintained to an excellent standard
- Be able to identify and prioritise their own workload, approaching all tasks with a "can do" attitude
- Have proven DIY skills, including painting and decorating enabling maintenance tasks to be undertaken
- Be able to work in partnership with our cleaning service colleagues
- Be able to engage and manage external contractors
- Attend various training sessions including; working at height, accident and incident recording, asbestos awareness, legionella and IOSH.
- Have a sound understanding of Health and Safety regulations
- Have a commitment to training and professional development
