Tulips at Home volunteer

Location: Tapping House, Hillington, PE31 6BH

• Visit patients in their homes to offer companionship and emotional support.
• Provide a listening ear and engage in meaningful conversation.
• Do some light, non-clinical tasks, like making a cup of tea, reading, or just sitting with them.
• Help reduce feelings of loneliness and social isolation.
• Offer respite support for family members and carers.
• Encourage wellbeing through gentle activities suited to the patient's interests and abilities.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries and respect confidentiality at all times.
• Communicate any concerns or changes in a patient's wellbeing to the hospice team.
