Trinity Academy Newcastle is a Special Needs Academy Trust, specialising in SEMH support. All of the academies support trauma-informed learning. The Trust has 3 schools, with one being a split site KS2/3 and KS3/4, and an independent school linked to the trust rated Ofsted good.
The Trust is looking for strong candidates who can bring challenge and support to senior leaders on their mission to create confident, competent and kind citizens of the future. Succession planning is a key strategic priority for the board, with opportunities for the right candidate to further develop their role.
The Trust is seeking a trustee with expertise in Finance to join their trust board. The ideal candidate will have senior leadership experience and a sound understanding of Finance. The Trust welcomes applications from all backgrounds, particularly those from traditionally under-represented backgrounds.
Role and ResponsibilitiesAs a trustee/director, key responsibilities include ensuring clarity of vision, ethos, and strategic direction; holding executive leaders to account; and overseeing the organisation's financial performance to ensure the best possible educational outcomes for young people.

CommitmentTrustees can expect to attend 6 board meetings a year and 6 committee meetings, with meetings typically held face-to-face and a hybrid option available in exceptional circumstances.
