Worsley's Almshouses, a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) administered by six voluntary trustees is currently seeking a new trustee to cover the role of Treasurer.
The Almshouses in Crocker Street, Newport, are unfurnished dwellings aimed to provide single accommodation, within the confines of Grade 11 Listed Buildings, for individuals eligible under the Trust Deed.
Responsibilities- Maintain financial records and manage bank accounts
 - Pay all invoices received, once agreed by the Chairman
 - Ensure that the Finance Policy is followed, relevant and up-to-date
 - Liaise with all investment companies and other partners (bank/accountants)
 - Present reports for quarterly trustee meetings and AGM to include an up-to-date spreadsheet giving the current financial situation
 
- Previous financial experience would be helpful
 - You are reliable, honest and trustworthy
 - You are organised and a good communicator

This is a back office role - Expenses reimbursed
Stationery and postage, but not travel expenses to the quarterly meetings - Health and Safety Policy

The successful applicant will shadow the current treasurer for six months - Suitable for Duke of Edinburgh Award
 - Suitable for Supported Volunteering

 - Suitable for Under 18's
 - Training provided
In the Charity's current work practices - Volunteers covered by insurance
