Whipps Cross Hospital
The Emergency Department at Whipps Cross University Hospital will give the appointee the unique opportunity to gain exposure and clinical management skills in pathologies which reflect the diverse local population.
We are looking for doctors with at least 3 years' clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or allied acute care jobs. The.post is only until August 2026. Successful applicants will work as a Registrar / ST3+ level in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Whipps Cross Hospital.
Main duties of the jobWe are looking for doctors with at least 3 years' clinical experience in Emergency Medicine or allied acute care jobs. Successful applicant will work as a Registrar / ST3+ level in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Whipps Cross Hospital.
This post would suit either a UK candidate wishing to gain experience and practical skills prior to applying for a training course in Emergency Medicine, Critical Care, acute medical specialty or an international candidate with significant experience in Emergency Medicine wishing to consolidate their skills in a new environment.
Successful candidates will join a friendly, dynamic, and supportive emergency workforce serving one of the most diverse populations in the United Kingdom.
Full time and part-time flexible posts will also be considered.

Person Specification Qualifications and knowledge- MB ChB or equivalent
- Full GMC Registration
- MRCP(UK)Part I or equivalent
- MRCS Part A and B or equivalent
- MCEM Parts A and B or equivalent
- MRCPCH Part 1
- Medical knowledge commensurate with grade
- Understanding of ALS principles
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Able to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to quality care
- Ability to organize own CPD
- Enthusiasm in teaching junior doctors, medical students and nurses
- Involvement in clinical audit
- The post holder will be required to work shifts and flexible hours, but will not be expected to undertake overnight shifts.
