Trust Doctor (FY2 Equivalent) in Emergency Medicine

Barts Health NHS TrustTRUST DOCTOR (FY2) EQUIVALENT LEVELWhipps Cross University HospitalFull Time - Fixed Term for 12 months

We are looking for a Trust Doctor (FY2) Equivalent Level in Emergency Medicine to cover a gap in service and the shifts will include some weekends and night duty as per rota.This post is not recognised for foundation training and therefore full GMC registration will be required. However, support will be provided for portfolio development and an educational supervisor will be allocated. You will be expected to provide clinical work and there may be educational opportunities which are run for the benefit of the Foundation year trainees.

Person Specification Qualifications and knowledge
  • MB ChB or equivalent
  • Full GMC Registration
  • MCEM Parts A and B or equivalent
  • MRCP(UK)Part I or equivalent
  • MRCS Part A and B or equivalent
Experience
  • Medical knowledge commensurate with grade
Skills
  • Understanding of ALS principles
Personal and people development
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Able to work within a multidisciplinary team
Communication
  • Commitment to quality care
  • Ability to organize ones CPD
  • Enthusiasm in teaching junior doctors, medical students and nurses
  • Involvement in clinical audit
