Job Description
Peer Mentor Volunteer 
As a Peer Mentor Volunteer, you will use your lived experience of recovery, homelessness, or complex life challenges to support and inspire others.
Working alongside professional care and housing staff, you will help foster hope, motivation, and resilience in the people we work for as they develop skills and confidence for more independent living.
Responsibilities- Support individuals in developing skills and confidence for independent living.
- Encourage and motivate participants within a trauma informed, person centred support environment.
- Collaborate with professional care and housing staff to provide holistic support.
- Minimum age 18 years.
- Experience or lived experience of recovery, homelessness, or complex life challenges.
- Basic understanding of voluntary or support work (preferred).
Make a positive impact through shared lived experience, gain valuable experience in the homelessness, care, and support sector, receive full induction and training, ongoing support, reimbursement of agreed expenses, and a pathway to further opportunities within the Wheatley Group.
