Salary: £33,000 - £38,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm
Flexibility required during peak periods - early starts/late finishes may be necessary. On-call one week in four to cover evenings and weekends.
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Transport Supervisor to join our busy operation based in Pinxton. You'll play a key role in ensuring our transport department runs smoothly, efficiently, and in full compliance with legal and company standards. This is a hands on, fast paced role where no two days are the same - plans can change in an instant, so you'll need to think on your feet, stay calm under pressure, and keep things moving.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries.
- Manage and support drivers, providing leadership and guidance.
- Ensure full compliance with transport legislation and company procedures.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance, defects, and scheduling.
- Plan and allocate routes effectively to meet customer requirements.
- Liaise with internal departments and external partners to resolve issues quickly.
- Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in every 4) to provide out-of-hours support.
- CPC qualified (essential).
- Proven experience in a transport supervisory or similar role.
- Confident, personable, and approachable - a natural leader.
- Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
- Committed and reliable, with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent communication and IT skills.
