Transport Shift Manager - Cork

looking for a Transport Shift Manager to join our team within our Cork Distribution Centre. This role will play a key part in the overall growth of the organisation along with helping to Focused on leading our Transport team in our busy distribution centre and responsible for the operational planning & execution of our distribution functions in a state-of-the-art Distribution Centre. You must have experience of leading and building teams to drive performance, engagement and support our vision to being our customers' most valued and trusted business partner. Requirements: 3+ years' experience in a relevant management / supervisory role in a high volume, technology driven, time sensitive distribution operation Experience within the Food distribution industry is advantageousAbility to plan and organise your own and your teams work activities in a safe, efficient and effective mannerStrong knowledge of the Department of Transport regulations (Tachograph legislation, Work Time Directive etc.) Proven ability to manage a team to deliver the highest standards of service Proven ability to be an effective decision maker with a hands-on approach to the business Ability to analyse, interpret and explain and present relevant business dataMust possess a strong knowledge of the surrounding geographical area Core Competencies: maintaining constructive and effective relationships with others across departments and other boundaries.
