Job Position:
The candidate will work inside Environmental and Crew Systems within Airbus Defence and Space.
Description of the Job:
The team is responsible of crew support and air systems in Airbus DS. The scope considers pneumatic, air conditioning, ice protection, oxygen and crew escape systems for all military platforms, including new programs as FCAS. The team is considered as a reference not just internally but externally in the different international program consortiums (e.g. EF, A400M). Additionally air systems are expected to evolve in order to adapt to new aircraft concepts. Therefore Research and Innovation is one of our core activities.
As part of our core activities is the entire development life-cycle of the control systems inside our scope, from requirements analysis, control system architecture definition, development up to integration and certification/qualification. As there are a variety of versions in different development/in-service stages, job is quite dynamic in terms of systems involved and tasks.
We are looking for a candidate passionate about engineering, who wants to make a change of prospective in its career and flexible to adapt to the most pure technical tasks with capability to manage technical interfaces, stakeholders or supplier management.

Tasks an Accountabilities
- Accomplish the technical activities of the development life cycle that are necessary to develop and provide the level of confidence which is consistent with regulation and program requirements.
- Provide input to checkpoints and reviews with associated maturity expectation aligned with program phases and gates. Includes the definition of the development logic, the architecture activities and the verification and qualification .
- Define interfaces between functions, or between systems and to manage their consistent implementation into system(s).
- Verify that the system's requirements are correctly & completely implemented.
- To ensure the product is designed according to the state-of-art and the relevant safety standards
- To ensure compliance of the product with airworthiness regulations
- Support production, reception flight testing & delivery.
Required Skills
- Degree of Aeronautical, Industrial, Telecomms or Computer Engineer.
- Spanish and English: Negotiation level.
- Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and different environments
- Good communication skills
- Experience in the design and development of control systems for complex applications, preferably in the aerospace or defense sector.
- Solid knowledge of SW development, control theory, PLC programming logic, microcontrollers, and communication buses (e.g., ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, AFDX).
- Experience on System maintenance (BITE concepts) and dataloading capabilities (ARINC 615A, 665, others).
- Experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Familiarity with aerospace safety and certification standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, CS25, CS23, ).
