Job Description

Job Title: Transport Planner

Location: Birmingham

Working Hours: Monday to Friday - 07:30 to 17:00 (42 hours per week)

We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to organise and coordinate all aspects of the transport function within the depot, providing key support to the Depot Manager. This will involve a variety of tasks, focussing on delivery and collections, fuel scheduling, booking external haulage including purchase order arrangement, staff management and training, maintaining product knowledge and arranging for the upkeep of all vehicles.

You will be joining the team at an exciting time, helping to continue our growth and delivering first class customer service.

What you'll need:
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to prioritise workload while working to strict deadlines
  • Full driving licence ideally with class 2 category and full CPC qualification
  • Excellent understanding and experience of managing health and safety practices in the workplace
  • Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy - Decade to Deliver
