Job Role: Transport Manager

Location: Waltham Cross

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday, standard daytime hours

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to lead a busy transport and logistics team. You will oversee a team of managers and transport colleagues, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations while maintaining excellent service to customers.

This role suits candidates with experience in fleet management, transport operations, logistics, or distribution environments.

What You'll Do

• Manage a team of transport staff and managers
• Make sure the team follows Health and Safety rules and transport regulations
• Plan routes and schedules for vehicles to work efficiently
• Keep track of budgets and costs
• Oversee vehicle maintenance and repairs
• Make sure paperwork and records are completed on time
• Support staff with training, development, and performance
• Work with warehouse or operations teams to keep things running smoothly

• Proven experience managing a transport, fleet, or logistics team
• Knowledge of transport operations and compliance requirements
• Experience managing budgets and improving operational efficiency
• Good communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to motivate and develop a team
