Role Overview The Transport Compliance Officer is responsible for ensuring that all transport operations comply with statutory regulations, company policies, and industry standards. This role monitors driver performance, vehicle maintenance, and transport documentation to maintain full legal compliance and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Ensure full compliance with DVSA, Tachograph, and Operator's Licence regulations across all transport operations. Monitor driver hours and tachograph data, addressing any infringements or breaches. Maintain accurate and up-to-date transport documentation, including licences, insurance, and maintenance records. Conduct internal audits on fleet compliance, maintenance schedules, and record keeping. Investigate and report compliance breaches, recommending corrective actions. Manage vehicle inspection reports, MOT schedules, and defect rectification logs. Liaise with external authorities (e.g., DVSA, police, insurers) as required. Support drivers and managers with guidance on legal and compliance standards. Assist in developing and reviewing transport compliance policies and procedures. Generate and submit regular compliance reports and audit findings.
