We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual with strong people and communication skills to join our established team. Reporting to our Neighbourhood Team Leader, our Trainee Neighbourhood Officers support the delivery of effective tenancy, property and neighbourhood management services while developing the skills needed for the role.

You will help ensure services are responsive, efficient and customer focused by building a clear understanding of our homes,tenantsand communities. Acting as a visible presence in our neighbourhoods, you will support customer engagement,assistin resolving issues, and contribute to maximising rental income and meeting regulatory standards.

Whatdo ourTrainee Neighbourhood Officersdo;

  • Manage a neighbourhood patch in line with legislation and MSV policies by delivering a holistic People-Property-Place service, carrying out tenancy visits, inspections, and addressing estate or tenancy related issues while prioritising customer safety.
  • Support effective tenancy and income management by building strong landlord-tenant relationships, managing arrears (including high level arrears, courtworkand evictions), and working closely with Income, Financial Resilience and Sustainment teams to help customersmaintainsuccessful tenancies.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams (Lettings, ASB, Property Care, Customer Voice) and external partners to minimise void loss, resolve neighbourhood issues, deliver community engagement activities, and contribute to the Neighbourhood Strategy and wider MSV initiatives.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and compliance by meeting regulatory standards, promoting MSV's WOW standards, following safeguarding, health and safety and data protection requirements, andrepresentingMSV professionally at all times.
  • Provideaccuratereporting, information and data to managers, contribute to value for money,participatein learning and development, and remain flexible in undertaking other duties to meet business and community needs.

Whatwe are looking for;

  • A good standard of education, including a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade C or above,including Maths and English, and a willingness to work towards aprofessional Housing Management qualification.
  • The ability tomanage and prioritise a demanding workload, meet deadlines, work under pressure, and useMicrosoft Officeconfidently.
  • Stronginterpersonal, communication and listening skills, with the ability to engage professionally with a wide range of people and show respect,kindnessand compassion.
  • A strongcustomer focused attitude, taking accountability for service delivery,understandingand empathising with diverse customer needs, and contributing positively to excellent customer service.
  • Personal qualities including beingself motivated, flexible, positive, enthusiastic, creative,reflectiveand open to change, with a commitment toEquality,Diversityand Inclusion.
  • Afull driving licenceand willingness totravel across the Northwest, with the ability torepresentMSV professionally and support the wellbeing of yourself and colleagues.
