Diabetic eye screening is a test that checks for eye problems caused by diabetes, identifying issues before sight is affected. Pictures of the back of the eyes are taken to assess the retina.
Main duties of the job- Ensure patients feel welcome and comfortable throughout the screening process.
- Undertake the screening Checklist to keep the environment safe.
- Perform basic maintenance of camera and equipment to obtain quality images.
- Safely administer eye drops to dilate pupils and capture photographs with correct field of view.
- Identify patients requiring urgent onward referral during their appointment.
- Maintain sufficient stock of consumables for clinic operations.

Location and SalaryLocation: Basingstoke - covering our clinics in the Basingstoke & Winchester area.
Salary: £24,784.50 rising upon completion of the Health Screener Diploma.
