Trainee Generator Engineer

AVK-SEG is looking to hire 4 Trainee Generator Engineers to join our established Academy.

The role is suitable for candidates interested in either mechanical or electrical engineering, particularly heavy industrial engines and alternative power technologies. It offers an opportunity to expand knowledge and experience alongside a team of experienced engineers within a successful service division.

This placement will provide a solid foundation in generator engineering and prepare you to carry out work within the service division.

Development opportunities will be managed through the AVK Academy, where successful candidates will receive recognised training and a development pathway from Level 4 to Level 1.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Carry out minor and major maintenance on client's generator installations, as directed by the site engineer.
2. Complete job report sheets.
3. Maintain site activities such as generator cleanliness and spillages in accordance with Health & Safety guidelines.
4. Prepare job packs and spares for upcoming work.
5. Transport spares to work locations.
6. Support the warehouse.
7. Perform other activities as directed or required.
8. Ensure health and safety of self.

Qualifications:

• An interest in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
