Responsibilities Position Overview:

The Davenport Operator is responsible for the efficientsetup, operation, and maintenance of multi-spindle turning machines'primarilyDavenport machines'to produce precision-engineered components. The rolerequires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability tointerpret complex engineering drawings. The Operator will work under thesupervision of the Production Manager and contribute to maintaining the higheststandards of quality, safety, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Machine Operation & Setup
  • Operate and set up Davenportmulti-spindle turning machines in accordance with productionrequirements.
  • Prepare and install appropriatetooling and materials prior to production runs.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting andminor maintenance on machinery.
  • Work with a variety of materials,including Aluminum, 17-4 Stainless Steel, and exotic alloys such asInconel 718 and A286.
  • Ensure correct material handlingprocedures are followed to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Technical & Quality Assurance
  • Read and interpret technical drawingsand specifications (metric and imperial), with a strong understanding ofgeometric tolerancing.
  • Measure and inspect components toensure they meet design and quality specifications.
  • Record production data and maintainaccurate documentation as required.
  • Health & Safety
  • Adhere to company safety protocolsand procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workarea in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Work closely with the ProductionManager and team members to coordinate workflow and resolve productionissues.
  • Communicate effectively in English,both verbally and in writing.
