We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Trainee Customer Care and Administrative Coordinator to join an established team based in Pontypool. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career in customer service and administration within a busy, service-driven environment.
You will play a key role in supporting customers, coordinating service activities, and assisting with day-to-day administrative tasks to ensure efficient operations and excellent customer satisfaction.
Working Hours- Monday to Thursday: 08:00 - 16:00
- Friday: 09:00 - 13:00
- Liaising with customers, occupiers, and the Service Engineering Field Team
- Providing accurate information to support the completion of works efficiently and on schedule
- Allocating site jobs to engineers and updating schedules as required
- Preparing customer quotations for the finance team to secure payment
- Delivering excellent customer service via telephone and email
- Supporting administrative functions, including data entry and document control
- Maintaining and updating internal systems and databases
- Assisting with scheduling, communication, and general operational support activities
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when handling reports and documentation
- A polite, professional, and confident telephone manner
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to problem-solving
- A collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
While not essential, the following experience would be advantageous:
- Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role
- Experience working in a busy office or service-led environment
- Scheduling, diary management, or coordinating engineer/site visits
- Knowledge of the construction, glazing, manufacturing, or housing sectors
- Confidence communicating with customers, contractors, and internal departments
