Job Description
Job Title: Traffic Management Manager
Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to oversee our traffic management operations, ensuring projects are planned and executed efficiently from start to finish. This role sits within the Select Plant Hire business and focuses on delivering high-quality traffic management services through effective coordination, stakeholder engagement, and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with customers effectively, providing clear communication, support, and resolution of queries to maintain high satisfaction levels / relationships as well as agree a suitable solution for Traffic Management schemes.
- Undertake activities that support business growth and secure new opportunities.
- Act as primary liaison with council representatives, maintaining positive relationships and ensuring compliance with local regulations and requirements.
- Plan and prioritise activities towards achieving agreed business aims,
- Dealing with incoming customer requests and queries in a professional and prompt manner using appropriate methods.
- Arrange and carry out site visits and develop relationships with the client and operations teams.
- Attend planning and coordination meetings.
- Coordinate subcontractors, ensuring schedules, deliverables, and quality standards are met across all projects.
- Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed according to Industry/company policies and standards.
- Prepare and manage quotations to ensure accuracy, competitiveness, and timely delivery.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess risks, and verify adherence to safety and quality standards.
- Undertake assurance activities, including audits, checks, and reporting, to uphold compliance and performance benchmarks.
- Monitor, maintain, and support on the profit and cost account, ensuring financial accuracy and accountability.
- Handle and resolve commercial inquiries efficiently
- Strong communication, organisational, and planning skills
- Confident dealing with clients, councils, and operational teams
- Good IT skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
