Job Description

Role Purpose:

PIC offers a great opportunity for a Trade Operations Manager with knowledge of Investment, Policyholder, Compliance, Audit, Regulatory, and Risk requirements to join our Trade Operations team as part of the IPP investment platform project. The role involves collaborating with internal departments and managing external provider relationships to secure buy-in and implement improvements to systems, processes, and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Trade Operations Team, ensuring activities are appropriately resourced with the right knowledge and skills to deliver outcomes.
  • Develop team members' technical and non-technical skills to deliver strong results for stakeholders and policyholders.
  • Analyze business, team, and individual performance objectives, MI, and KPI data.
  • Ensure the successful delivery of BAU activities, project and change delivery, and team development.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports with analysis and recommendations on risk events, strategic developments, and process improvements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Experience in Investment Operations within a corporate or consulting environment, with a recognised Investment and Securities IOC qualification preferred.

Technical Skills:

  • Knowledge of operating models, trade lifecycle, reconciliations, products like fixed income, money market funds, FX, and managing change, audit, and regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with trading markets, derivative products, insurance, and investment regulatory requirements.
  • Experience in report development and delivering timely BAU and departmental projects.
  • Willingness to work towards IMC qualification.
