Trade Desk Support - FICC

Description

Our client, who is a multinational investment bank based in London are looking to hire a Trade Desk Support analyst to join their FICC team. This role will support the capital markets Middle Office team and provide support for Front Office & trading desks which include Money Markets and Repo, International Rates, SSA, DCM, and Cash Equity. This will provide day to day trade desk support to the following Fixed Income, Currencies & Commodities (FICC) businesses in London.

The Analyst will be accountable for the execution of assigned FICC Trade Support activities that require attention to detail, diligence and accuracy. We are looking for ambitious individuals who have a keen eye for operational risk/control and make contributions to process enhancements. The role provides an opportunity to work closely with the business to develop/maintain strong working relationships and expand product knowledge.

Requirements for this role

• Ideally 2+ years of business-related experience in the financial services or recognized training (University).
• University Degree in related discipline.
• A good understanding of FICC Products; Money Market CDs/ECPs, REPO/Tri-Party, Fixed Income, FX, Interest Rate Swaps, Derivatives (incl. futures & options).
• Theoretical knowledge around interest rate calculations and discounting.
• An understanding of front to back trade flow.
• Knowledge of risk measures and the drivers of P&L
• Experience of programming or spreadsheet automation (python, VBA), would be a bonus.
• Experience of the following trading systems beneficial

- Calypso, Bloomberg, TOMS, Markitwire, DSTS, IMPACT/ICI, Alert/CTM, EPIM, Ipreo
