Job Description
These terms and conditions relate to tickets issued for events presented by Bristol Beacon or sold by Bristol Beacon on behalf of an event organiser and form part of the contractual agreement between ticket holders and Bristol Beacon.

The conditions must be read in accordance with the venue terms, conditions and regulations, copies of which are available on request from the venue. The terms and conditions may be changed at the organisers' or venue discretion.

Bristol Beacon endeavours to treat all ticket holders with respect and care, ensuring their safety and security whilst attending an event. Your compliance with the following conditions will assist us in doing so.

Please examine your tickets carefully upon receipt as mistakes cannot be rectified, tickets exchanged or monies refunded at a later date. Please note that your tickets may be for an event at another venue and not at Bristol Beacon.

Music Activity Terms & Conditions For terms and conditions regarding instrumental lessons, music ensembles, groups and choirs, instrumental hire and online creative sessions please view our Music Activity Terms & Conditions .

Ticket prices and fees We sell tickets on behalf of our clients including concert/show/event organisers, artists and venues. Our clients decide the face value price of the tickets and when a ticket is sold we pay our clients the money collected from the sale of that ticket.

All prices advertised are inclusive of any applicable taxes and booking fees.

Face Value Price
The ticket face value price is always set by our clients. The price printed on the ticket will not include any fees.

Booking Fee
This fee contributes to our ticket retail, distribution and technology costs. Bristol Beacon has a 12% booking fee per ticket for shows.

For example a 12% booking fee of 60p on a £5 ticket, £2.40 on a £20 ticket, and £3.60 on a £30 ticket.

Bristol Beacon is a charity and alongside other revenues, it helps us to stay an effective business, which in turn, allows us to reinvest in our charitable ambitions, our technology and the services we provide.

Our booking fees increased from 9% to 10% on Tuesday 19 November 2024.
Our booking fees increased from 10% to 12% on Tuesday 1 April 2025.

Sale of Tickets Tickets you purchase are for personal use.

Should this ticket be re-sold at a higher price than face value, or transferred for profit or commercial gain by anyone other than a nominated ticket agent it will become void and the holder may be refused entry to, or ejected from the venue. Bristol Music Trust has the right to cancel tickets that have been resold at a higher price without prior notification. This is an important reason why you should only buy tickets from a reputable source.

If you have purchased a Bristol Beacon Membership and are found to be selling tickets above face value, we reserve the right to cancel your membership and to hold any future ticket purchases for collection on the night of the concert/event on production of photo ID.

Only one discount can apply to any one ticket.

Bristol Music Trust reserves the right to introduce discounts and special offers at any time, and these cannot be applied to tickets already purchased.

Lost or forgotten reserved seated tickets can be reprinted at a cost of £1 per ticket with proof of ID. General admission or standing tickets cannot be reprinted.

We offer payment installment plans for tickets to some events. This is where the full price ticket value, including booking fees, is split into two or more payment installments.

Events with installment plans will include a separate ticket type that is easily distinguishable from the standard event tickets. For example:

Paying the first installment reserves your ticket for the event. You will receive confirmation of payment for the first installment via email along with details of when the other payment installments are due.

You will receive a reminder email close to when the balance is due. This will include a booking link for you to complete your installment plan payment.

On paying the final installment you will receive your event ticket via email.

Installments are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled, rescheduled, or if there is a significant change to the content. Where refunds are granted the face value of the installment will be refunded but not the booking fee.

If you fail to pay the remaining balance by the due date, your ticket reservation will be canceled and your first installment will not be refunded.

Refunds and Account Credit Tickets cannot be exchanged nor money refunded.

If a performance is cancelled, you will be offered a rescheduled date where possible, or a refund of the face value of the ticket only from your original point of purchase.

Tickets may sometimes be returned at the management's discretion if an event has sold out and the tickets can be sold on to other customers. In this case, we can credit the value of the tickets (not including any booking fees) to the customer's account with Bristol Beacon, so that the money can be redeemed against any future ticket purchases from Bristol Beacon box office.

Any credit on your account is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and can be used online, over the phone, or in person at the Box Office. We are unable to extend the expiry date of any credit.

We cannot refund or credit any tickets purchased through a ticket agent.

If a performance is cancelled for the night of your Golding Bar package reservation, you will be refunded the face value of the package minus booking fees.

We sell Merchandise items for events in two ways:
  • included as part of the event ticket,
  • or separate to the event ticket as a merchandise up-sell
We will advertise the ticket prices and merchandise prices on the event page.

When Bristol Beacon is working with an external merchandise supplier, we will share your customer details and order details with that supplier for them to fulfil the merchandise order.

Buy purchasing an event ticket with merchandise included, or a separate merchandise item, you are agreeing to us sharing your data with the supplier in this way and for these purposes.

Gift vouchers are valid for 12 months from the point of purchase. We are unable to extend gift vouchers or refund gift vouchers once purchased.

Gift vouchers are unable to be used as payment towards further gift vouchers. Gift vouchers are solely for the purpose of booking events and performances sold through Bristol Beacon box office.

Gift vouchers can be purchased online, in person and over the phone and can be exchanged for any event or performance that Bristol Beacon are selling for.

Gift vouchers will be emailed if purchased online or over the phone, or can be booked direct with Box Office over the counter in which a physical voucher will be produced.

Since June 2018 the majority of Bristol Beacon's programme of events takes place in venues across the city following the start of our project to transform the venue into a world class centre for music. Gift vouchers remain valid for the purchase of tickets to all events sold through Bristol Beacon box office.
