Theatre Practitioner - Scrub Orthopaedics (Bank) Haywards Heath Hospital Nursing Bank Ad Hoc £26.00 per hour

Main duties of the job

As a Scrub Practitioner or Theatre Practitioner (ODP), you will:

  • Work in a multi disapline team covering a varied patient caseload
  • Use state-of-the-art technology, equipment and facilities
  • Supervise, support and develop junior members of the team
  • Provide high-quality perioperative care in a multidisciplinary team setting
  • Create high-quality care and patient experiences that are clinically effective and evidence based
  • Have ample opportunities for continuous growth and personal development, which can include Surgical First Assist training

Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.

About us

Nuffield Health Haywards Heath Hospital opened in 1993 and is close to the centre of Haywards Heath. The hospital provides a wide range of medical services from minor procedures through to major surgical specialties. With three operating theatres (one laminar flow), comprehensive outpatient facilities including a 3T MRI scanner, an onsite pre-assessment clinic, physiotherapy department and 26 en-suite ward rooms, the facility maintains high standards of patient care delivered by our team throughout the patient journey.

Job description Qualifications

Required: You are registered with the appropriate governing body and hold qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, including NMC or HCPC. Post-registration experience in Scrub roles within a theatre environment is preferred.

Experience

As a Scrub Practitioner/ Theat re Practitioner (ODP) at our hospital, you should be focused, detail-oriented, empathetic with excellent communication skills. You should bring the required registration and experience for the role and be a team player with a passion for exceptional patient care.
