Organization Information: Cambridge Center for Adult Education (CCAE) is a nonprofit organization with an annual operating budget of $2.5 million and 15 full-time staff. We run nearly 2,000 classes over four terms, taught by over 200 professionals who are experts in their chosen fields. Job Summary: We are seeking a part-time theater instructor to teach Theater techniques for beginners and an improvisation class. Instructors should be able to develop a clear curriculum tailored to adult learners from diverse backgrounds. Ideally, the instructor is available on weekday evenings or weekends to teach in person.

Instructors are paid an hourly rate of $25/hr. Instructors can also take one free class per term (up to $300).

Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience and success in teaching theater classes
  • An ability to engage a diverse demographic of adult learners
  • A graduate degree and or currently an active practitioner
  • Familiar/comfortable with teaching adults in-person.
