Job Description

Test Centre Associate - Pay Range £13.45

Role Overview

Reed in Partnership, a British family owned company, is looking for a Test Centre Associate to support the DVSA programme. In this role you will invigilate driving theory tests, ensure integrity and compliance, and provide excellent customer service to candidates across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high level of customer service
  • Check candidate ID documents and book them into the system
  • Maintain test integrity and security
  • Supervise and invigilate tests
  • Explain the test process and answer candidate queries
  • Review test schedules and manage the centre timetable
  • Perform daily opening and closing procedures
  • Accommodate individual candidate needs in line with the Equality Act and our diversity approach
  • Handle and report incidents that could affect candidate testing
Work Schedule

The role is flexible with part time or occasional shifts. Typical shifts include: mornings (08:30-13:00/14:00), afternoons (12:30-17:30/18:30), full days (08:30-17:30/18:30), evenings (16:30-20:30/21:30) and combined afternoon evening (12:00/13:00-20:30/21:30). The Sheffield test centre operates Monday Saturday; candidates must be available for evenings and Saturdays.

Qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence (driving not required at all sites)
  • Significant experience in high quality customer service
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet short deadlines and multitask
  • Experience working with diverse customer groups
  • Strong judgment and decision making skills
  • Flexibility to work evenings and Saturdays
  • Calm, professional handling of confrontational candidates
