Overview

The Test Centre Associate - Chelmsford provides support for DVSA driving theory tests, ensuring secure and compliant assessments for prospective drivers across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Invigilate and supervise theory tests, maintaining test integrity and security.
• Check candidates' ID documents and book them into the system.
• Explain the test process and support candidates with inquiries.
• Review test centre schedules and ensure consistent daily operations.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the test centre.
• Ensure the centre meets individual candidate needs in line with the Equality Act.
• Report incidents that could impact candidate testing.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence (driving may not be required for all locations).
• Significant experience delivering high quality customer service.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask with competing priorities.
• Experience working with diverse customer groups.
• Strong judgement and decision making skills.
• Flexibility to work across varying operating days, evenings, and Saturday shifts.
• Composure with confrontational candidates in a professional manner.

Work Schedule

Flexible pattern including part time or occasional shifts. Available shift times:

• Mornings: 8:30 1:00 / 2:00
• Afternoons: 12:30 5:30 / 6:30
• Full day: 8:30 5:30 / 6:30
• Evenings: 4:30 8:30 / 9:30
• Afternoon & Evening: 12:00 8:30 / 9:30

Regular operating days are Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday, with the centre typically open 3 4 days per week. The ideal candidate must be fully flexible to pick up shifts across all operating days, including evenings and Saturdays. Benefits
