Test Automation Engineer, AVP

Functions Technology is building a sophisticated next generation surveillance solution on top of a distributed data platform. Pune (India) and Belfast (United Kingdom) are the global hubs for the creation of feature-based surveillance algorithms using cutting edge technologies and techniques.

The global Surveillance Technology team at Citi has an increased book of work that requires additional business lines, countries, and more sophisticated surveillance methods to be delivered using our strategic platforms. These platforms allow users to monitor trading activity across multiple asset classes and information barriers, on real time, end of day, and historic lookup bases for indications of potential Market Abuse, Insider Dealing, and other types of fraud. The volume and variety of data involved in these surveillances and the complexity of the algorithms results in one of most challenging and appropriate use cases for big data technologies.

As we further expand global coverage and deliver more sophisticated Behavioural Analytics based solutions, we are seeking Test Automation Engineers to join our Team in Belfast.

The successful candidate will be an established automation testing expert, with a strong background working in technology teams to test, deliver and roll out automation. You will work closely with the Engineering Lead and QEs of other Teams under Trade Surveillance to contribute in identifying and recommending process improvements to enhance quality deliverables.

What you'll do

• Successful candidate will be part of Agile team and will have an opportunity to work on sophisticated next generation surveillance solution
• Work with multiple stakeholders from different teams on a day-to-day basis
• Participate in the scrum ceremonies
• Conduct testing (Functional + automation)
• Opportunity to work on test automation framework - UI & backend

What we'll need from you

• Strong analytical skills
• Solid understanding of proven experience of Quality Engineering
• Experience working in CI/CD pipeline environment
• Solid understanding of SQL
• Expertise in Automation with Java / Python
• Hands on experience building Automation Framework
• Possess excellent communication skills
