Test & Approvals Engineer - Precision Control Systems

As a Test & Approvals Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that all electronic control systems meet the highest standards of safety, durability, and regulatory compliance. You will:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans to ensure compliance with EN280 and ISO 13849.
  • Perform a range of environmental and regulatory tests, including IP67, EMC, FCC, and CE marking.
  • Document the full validation and approvals life cycle to meet both project and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and quality teams to drive continuous improvement and technical excellence.

As their Test & Approvals engineer you will ideally have experience in test and compliance engineering within industrial, mobile, or heavy-equipment sectors or relatable.

  • Strong working knowledge of EN280, ISO 13849, and functional safety principles.
  • Hands-on experience conducting IP rating tests, EMC compliance, and managing FCC approvals.
  • Ability to interpret detailed technical drawings and specifications.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Functional Safety certification (eg, TÜV) - highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, FMEA, and risk assessment methodologies.
