Test and Approvals Engineer

Enigma People Solutions is working with a leading engineering firm on an exciting project developing advanced electronic control systems for precision movement and load handling in demanding environments. We are looking for a Test and Approvals Engineer to play a key role in validating these systems and ensuring they meet the highest safety and compliance standards. • Develop and execute test plans to ensure compliance with EN280 and ISO 13849 safety standards.

• Perform environmental and regulatory testing for IP67, EMC, FCC, and CE marking.

• Document validation and approvals processes to meet project and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to resolve technical issues.

• Coordinate with third party certification bodies as required.

• Proven experience in test and compliance engineering within industrial or mobile equipment sectors.

• Strong knowledge of EN280, ISO 13849, and functional safety principles.

• Hands on experience with IP ratings, EMC compliance, and FCC approvals.

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

• Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail.

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

• Functional Safety certification (e.g., TÜV) highly desirable.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and risk assessment methodologies (e.g., FMEA).
