Job Summary:
We are seeking a Shift Leader to join our team at West Durrington Extra. As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for overseeing the store, coordinating the team, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Availability Window:
- Sun: 21:00 - 07:00
- Mon: 21:00 - 07:00
- Wed: 21:00 - 07:00
- Thu: 21:00 - 06:00
- Fri: 21:00 - 07:00
- Sat: 21:00 - 07:00
Rate of Pay: Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.76 an hour, increasing to £15.97 for stores inside the M25, with an additional night premium of £2.35 per hour worked.
Contracted Hours: We offer a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, with opportunities for fewer hours (minimum 12) if desired.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the store team to deliver excellent customer service
- Support colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks
- Open and close the store, completing duty cover and ensuring all decisions are made with safety in mind
- Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day-to-day queries
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store
- Support managers in coordinating seasonal, community, and charity events
- Contribute to a great team atmosphere, inclusive of everyone
- Provide excellent customer service, listening to customers and putting them first
- Keep the team well-informed and up to speed on communications, changes, and updates
- Stay knowledgeable about store performance and look for ways to improve operations
