Job Description

Are you passionate about making services better for our tenants and communities?

We are looking for a motivated, outgoing and customer focused Tenant Voice Officer to play a key role in shaping housing services by putting customer voices front and centre of what we do.

You will work closely with the Tenant Voice Manager and Tenant Voice Assistant to support our tenant involvement activities, engagement events, and outreach activity.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with people, organising activities, and helping communities shape the housing service.

  • You will work across the borough engaging with tenants in the community, lead on consultation events, surveys, and tenant involvement activities.
  • Turn feedback from our customers into real service improvements and changes and report and monitor outcomes from involvement.
  • Work with tenants, housing service teams, and partners to influence change
  • You will arrange and lead on tenant scrutiny of services, mystery shopping, digital inclusion, and a range of engagement initiatives.
  • Promoting, recruiting and training tenants to be involved in what we do from across the borough.
  • Promote Tenant Voice across all council services.

We are looking for someone who is

  • Very customer-focused, approachable and passionate about improving services.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal and listening skills.
  • Organised, proactive, innovative and able to manage multiple projects.
  • Experienced in customer engagement or consultation work.
  • Confident using digital tools, databases, and Microsoft Office.
  • Able to analyse feedback and turn insight into action and real outcomes.
  • Committed to equality, inclusion and delivering high quality services for our tenants.
  • Comfortable working independently in the community with high level of direct contact with the public across diverse communities and with a range of stakeholders.

Experience in tenant involvement and or community engagement and customer service, is essential.

The successful applicant will be required to undergo security checks as part of the Baseline Personnel Security Standard for accessing Government records. This will include a Basic DBS check.
