Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Support residents with day to day tasks such as maintaining their living space, cooking, or organising routines.
  • Provide social and emotional support, engaging in conversations, reducing isolation, and encouraging engagement.
  • Assist with group activities such as wellbeing sessions, workshops, or community based activities (e.g., attending the food bank or St Vincent's).
  • Help residents attend appointments, including GP visits, substance misuse services, and housing meetings.
  • Encourage positive use of time through hobbies, volunteering, or accessing local services.
  • Support residents to build confidence and independence, particularly around communication and life skills.
  • Promote healthy lifestyles, including wellbeing, self care, and routine.
  • Signpost residents to relevant services such as mental health, recovery groups, or employment support.
  • Support staff with basic administrative or practical tasks where appropriate.
  • Act as a positive role model, promoting respect, boundaries, and recovery focused behaviour.
