Overview

Our client is seeking a Tenancy Deposit Fee Earner (or candidates wanting a re-train role - full on-the-job training will be provided) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a caseload of tenancy deposit claims, ensuring that clients receive appropriate compensation for landlords failing to properly protect their tenancy deposit.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own case load of tenancy deposit claims being pre and post litigated cases.
• Assess case prospects and prepare the letter of claim
• Draft Part 8 proceedings
• Dealing with and drafting various interlocutory applications
• Review the merits of the claim and provide advice to clients on any offers of settlement
• Deal with case as they proceed via the court process.
• Ensure compliance with court deadlines and directions.
• Liaising with Counsel, and any other third parties in an efficient and professional manner
• Be proactive and use initiative when presented with problems or issues.
• Complete autonomy with instruction through to settlement
• Provide excellent customer service by regularly updating clients on the progress of their case and answering any queries in a professional manner

Essential Requirements

• Experience in managing own case load
• 1 year+ Litigation experience
• Confident when working to targets.
• Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively, as part of a team and using one's own initiative.
• Competent I.T Skills
• Keen eye for detail
