Job Description
Role: Temporary Works Coordinator
Location: Oxford (And surrounding areas) x2 Positions
Rate: £450 p/d - CIS
Duration: 6 months
Sector: Water/Wastewater Treatment
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Temporary Works Coordinator to join our team on a temporary basis at sites around Oxford and the wider Thames Valley for project on behalf of Thames Water. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring that temporary works are effectively planned, coordinated, and managed in compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, particularly in the Water/Wastewater treatment sector.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and manage all temporary works across the site, ensuring compliance with industry standards and health and safety requirements.
- Ensure the design and implementation of temporary works comply with BS 5975 and other relevant regulations.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of temporary works design, method statements, and risk assessments.
- Liaise with project teams, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure temporary works are delivered on time, within budget, and to required safety standards.
- Monitor the performance of temporary works on-site, ensuring they are safely installed and used.
- Provide advice and guidance to site teams on temporary works, and act as the primary point of contact for all temporary works-related issues.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations, including BS 5975, and their application to the water/wastewater treatment sector.
- Competent understanding of temporary works design principles, including the ability to review and evaluate designs.
- CITB Temporary Works Coordinator course certification is essential.
- Previous experience working in the water/wastewater treatment sector or similar heavy civil engineering projects.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and safety management.
- Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure or environmental projects.
- Knowledge of additional temporary works regulations and safety standards.
