Telehandler

Our client is seeking a skilled Telehandler Operator to join their team based in Grantham on a temporary to permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a telehandler to safely move, lift, load, and unload materials in line with strict health, safety, and environmental standards.

The position contributes directly to the client's commitment to sustainability and efficient resource management.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a telehandler to transport and position materials across the site
• Load and unload items such as televisions, computers, mobile phones, fridges, and other electronic equipment, ensuring correct allocation to recycling streams
• Monitor and maintain the continuous flow of materials within the facility
• Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including carrying out routine equipment checks and reporting any faults or concerns
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily operational targets
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping, ensuring work areas remain clean, safe, and organised

Person Specification

• A good understanding of health, safety, and environmental practices
• Mechanical awareness or experience dismantling electronic equipment would be advantageous
• Experience operating machineryHigh level of attention to detail, with a strong commitment to safe working practices
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding role, which may involve manual handling and prolonged periods on your feet

Job Requirements

• Full-time role based in Grantham.
• 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday. OT available)
• £13.57 / £13.89 per hour
• A telehandler or telescopic licence is required
• Work environment is predominantly in a warehouse or processing facility.
