About the Technology Innovation Engineer role

We have an opportunity for an experienced Technology Innovation Engineer to join our Technology and Cyber Security team. Reporting to the Head of Technology and Cyber Securitythis position will work across SGCH offices and locations as required

As a Technology Innovation Engineer you will be responsible for identifying, evaluating, and implementing emerging technologies that drive business transformation and operational efficiency. Blending technical expertise with strategic thinking, the Technology Innovation Specialist designs and prototypes innovative solutions, integrates them into existing systems, and leads cross-functional projects from concept to scale. The role also supports stakeholders through collaboration, user support, and fostering a culture of innovation across the organisation.

To succeed as a Technology innovation Engineer, you will have strong technical expertise in emerging technologies, paired with the ability to think strategically and drive innovation from concept to implementation. You will also need excellent collaboration and communication skills to engage stakeholders, influence outcomes, and integrate new solutions across diverse teams.

About you (essential requirements)

To succeed in the role, you will have the below key attributes:

Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years in tech development, systems engineering, or innovation, with strong knowledge of emerging technologies and digital transformation.

Experience with agentic AI, automation tools (e.g. RPA, Power Automate), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), APIs, and agile development.

Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and project delivery skills.

Proven ability to work with business acumen and a social heart and balance strategic SGCH goals with day-to-day operational needs, and the self-motivation, compassion and resilience to continuously improve and drive the delivery of best outcomes for SGCH and its customers.
