The Technical Writer is the critical link between the Technical Writers across a functional area. This position acts as Technical Writer for a specific area and provides a supporting role in the functional area on a global level. The Lead Technical Writer coordinates and governs where documentation is anchored in the LEGO Process Portal, thereby making best practice available to the workforce in an easy and accessible way.
RESPONSIBILITIESResponsibility for actual, accurate and precise Standard Work documentation, which means - creation, revision, translation, maintenance, uploading and administration and sharing of documentation
Work as an ambassador for Standard Work and process understanding in The LEGO Group
Close cooperation with Global Job Trainers and process owners (engineering, production, ) and other Technical writers by creation and alignment of documentation, responsibility for final version of documentation, actively receive and share all last changes on technology or process and implement to final version of documentation
Work with other team members to support team's KPI and reach the goals of training organization
Responsible for training new Technical Writers (brick mate) in the functional area globally
Coordinate globally with other Technical Writers for the functional area e.g. in relation to changes in documentation and placing of documents
Make sure global documentation is aligned according to numbering conventions
Work closely with global technical functions R&D and local NPI within standardization journal
Together with local team work actively on defining better process standards and participating as use on defining technology improvements
Develop a comprehensive strategy and procedural framework for the department. TW builds the strategy and process (act like the process owner) and GJT is the execution
Support implementing new products, processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results.
Be able to define impact of improvement into daily operations and basic KPI

Advanced English
IT common specialist level (MS Office, Canva); Microsoft Office advanced and other design software is a plus
Soft skills (communication, feedback, organization, systematic approach)
Process thinking
Writing skills (local language, English)
ARIS software (preferably, not mandatory)
SharePoint (preferably, not mandatory)
Traveling (occasionally, based on business needs)
Time flexibility (sometimes support for weekend shifts needed)
Cultural understanding
Requires communication with leadership
Cooperation with training organization and the daily operations
Strong focus on precise processes description and documentation on a global level
Taking a global lead on coordinating process documentation and enhancing process understanding
