Planning for South StaffordshireThis is a new opportunity to join the Planning Team as a temporary Technical Support Officer. We are a busy service, dealing with a varied case load ranging from household extensions to major development sites, planning appeals, Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) and triaging planning enforcement cases. The successful candidate would independently provide a variety of technical support to the Planning Team and our customers, including supporting the Council's Street Naming and Numbering function.
At South Staffordshire, the Planning Team works collaboratively to provide an excellent service, with everyone playing their part and supporting one another to achieve success. We are also rightly proud of our positive relationship with our local communities.
Why work for South Staffordshire Council? We are an award-winning Council that has lots to offer. We support flexible and agile ways of working, have strong IT support, great access by road to the Council offices in Codsall and free car parking. The council is located within a 5 minute walk of Bilbrook train station which is a short journey from Wolverhampton station and 25 minutes from Birmingham New Street. Our main offices in Codsall have recently been modernised to provide a central community hub with partner organisations, local businesses, library, nursery, doctors' surgery and cafe all in one central location. Our offices are light and bright, with break out areas, private meeting rooms, all benefitting from the latest modern technology.
