Technical Sales Engineer

An excellent opportunity for an experiencedTechnical Sales and Tendering Engineer to join our client, aleading company in the wastewater treatment industry. This is a full-time, permanent role and will involve travel between sites in the Munster region as well as in-office in Mallow. As the Tendering Engineer, you will join the Minor Contracts team and play a crucial role in the preparation and submission of competitive bids for various water and wastewater projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the tendering team in managing both commercial and technical requirements associated with tender submissions for water, wastewater, and pumping applications in the Municipal and Industrial markets.
• Review tender documents, specifications, and understand customer needs.
• Develop designs and project build bill of materials to ensure accurate and value for money solutions.
• Review commercial terms and conditions.
• Support Health & Safety and Quality documentation.
• Ensure projects are delivered without compromise on safety and quality, coordinating with other departments.
• Ensure submissions meet client specifications and project scopes.
• Support project delivery team with design and procurement to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

• Third level education in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
• Full Irish driving license.
• Proficiency in IT skills.
• Strong engineering analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commercial understanding of contracting deliverables.
• Collaborative and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proven experience in a similar design & engineering role in a mechanical or electrical environment.
• Project management, site management, installation, and any water or wastewater industry experience is advantageous.
