Job Purpose
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic Sales & Marketing team, identifying and exploring new business opportunities across all markets. You will represent ATL at exhibitions to promote our capabilities and maintain high-level relationships with existing customers.
Main Duties
- Manage communications with customers regarding technical sales requirements.
- Maintain customer accounts, providing pre- and post-sales support to foster positive relationships.
- Produce accurate quotations for custom projects across all markets.
- Liaise with the Design department to ensure customer needs are met.
- Handle enquiries promptly and process orders efficiently.
- Prepare detailed RFPs, proposals, and quotations to meet design specifications, aiming for first-time accuracy and profitability.
- Monitor project scope and update estimates as necessary.
- Advise customers on standard products when needed.
- Assist in creating literature to showcase ATL's technical strengths.
- Collaborate with Sales and Accounts teams to manage customer credit accounts.
- Research and pursue new sales opportunities through various channels.
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
- Support the Finance team to ensure timely receivables and resolve issues.
- Complete regular reports for the Managing Director.
- Manage tasks aligned with business objectives and upskill in new markets.
- Maintain accurate CRM and PLM system data.
- Apply environmentally sustainable practices in line with company policies.
You may be asked to undertake additional tasks as required.
Requirements
- Proven relevant professional experience.
- Engineering background preferred.
- Experience in converting enquiries and customer requirements.
- Confidence in setting SMART objectives with clients.
